In social studies, we began a project about an important event of choice in United States history. The students were put into groups of 3. We were able to get each group an assigned topic. They were told to write their topics down so they can begin researching at home if they choose. We will be going over the expectations for the final product next week.
In science, we finished taking notes on the rock cycle. There will be a quiz on Monday based on the diagram and other notes taken.
For writing, we had students present their topics in the form of a debate and made it into a competition that the rest of the class voted for the winners. We will continue this on Monday for our work in persuasion.
Finally, we would like to leave you with a quote today from former Mr. Universe, actor, and politician, Arnold Schwarzenegger, “Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.”
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
IN THIS CLASS, IT IS NOT ABOUT WHAT WE KNOW, IT IS ABOUT WHAT WE DO WITH WHAT WE KNOW!
