In social studies, we tasked students with finding historic sites for their road trip. They should have already finished deciding what states they chose. This was to be done by 8:15 this morning. Students were graded on their completion of this assignment. The same will be with their historic sites. Students need to have their sites written in their notes in Google classroom before 8:15 tomorrow morning.
For science, students began presenting, but we have adjusted to have them redo their slideshows. We had many students copy and paste information and read it to the class. We reviewed expectations and are having students make improvements to try again.
For reading, we are having students focus more on the details of their life goals. They began researching the requirements and qualifications for those goals. These included education (grades, certificates, degrees, etc.) and physical fitness (if applicable). Tomorrow, we will be going more in depth on these pieces so students can begin forming a plan.
For writing, students wrote a second couplet focusing on making it make sense and using good rhyme schemes. We saw great improvement in students’ second couplet. We will continue with couplets and introduce quatrains tomorrow.
Finally, we would like to leave you with a quote today from motivational speaker, Zig Zigler, “You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win.”
